Angelia Arlisa Burks

Angelia Arlisa Burks, affectionately known as Lisa was born July 27, 1962 to the union of Eddie Alvin Burks and Donnie Bell Telfair.  Angelia was the second of two girls and a native of Jacksonville, Florida.

Angelia attended public school both in Duval County, Florida and Kings County, New York. She was employed by several different companies here in Jacksonville: Winn Dixie, HomeSide Lending, Washington Mutual and Comcast. Angelia was full of life, loved her family, loved her pets and was a devoted Jacksonville Jaguar fan.  Angelia was a loving, generous person with a genuine heart and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Angelia departed this life on June 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Alvin Burks, Sr., her maternal grandparents, Roy Telfair and Johnnie Bell Telfair, paternal grandparents, James Burks and Carrie Addison.

Angelia leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, two loving and devoted daughters, Ivy Leah Burks and Marilyn Marie Chappell (Willie); mother Donnie Bell Walker (Robert), sister Sharlyn La Verne Burks; brothers, Johnnie Lee Burks, Eddie Alvin Burks, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Tyrone Burks (Myeva) of Los Angeles, CA and Keith Burks; grandsons Isaiah Abdur-Raheem (Kyra), Jeremiah Burton, Casey Chappell and Joshua Chappell; granddaughters Iyana Raheem and Imani Raheem; bonus daughter Sahara Oakley; a host of aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
