Anthony Lavern Williams was born July 20, 1951, to Ola Mae Williams and Ulysses Williams in Jacksonville, Florida.
As a young man he was handsome, charismatic, the life of the party, and a true joy to be around.
Anthony graduated from Old Stanton High School. He was a transportation professional turned skilled tradesman who worked diligently to provide for his family.
In 1979, he welcomed his first child, Samantha Williams. Shortly after he welcomed his second, Anthony Lavern Williams, Jr.
In 2007, he met his lovely wife Jacqueline and they were united in holy matrimony November 20, 2008. The two enjoyed 18 years of life together. He had a close loving relationship with his mother-in-law, Josephine Nixon James and was loved by a number of in laws.
Anthony Lavern gained his wings on Thursday March 19, 2026, surrounded by his daughter, grandchildren and great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ola Mae and Ulysses Williams; siblings, Eddie Williams, Freddie Williams, Brenda Williams, Eugene Williams, and Joyce Vereen.
Anthony was the sixth child of twelve siblings.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Williams; children, devoted daughter, Samantha Williams; son, Anthony Lavern Williams, Jr.; stepson, Terrance James; grandchildren, Jayla Turner (Qu’Ran Turner), Damian Williams, Yasmine Williams, Rashed Akbar, II, Myron Johnson, III, Ja’Vion James, Ariana James, Terrance King James and Dylan James; great grandchildren, Alexandria Turner and Trinity Turner; brothers, Charles Holmes, Silas Williams and Paul Williams; sisters, Jerry Dean McGee, Linda Williams and Kathy Phillips; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws and sorrowing friends.
