Barbara Jackson was born on June 25, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York to Albert and Dolores Jackson. Barbara received her formal education through New York Public Schools where she excelled in her studies. After graduation she worked for the city of New York as a social worker for 32 years. Following her retirement, she moved to Florida to be with her sister where she worked at CRC and a youth group home. She also partnered with various organizations within Jacksonville as a way of giving back to the community. In her leisure time, she enjoyed fishing this was a lifelong hobby that she enjoyed to the fullest.
As a child Barbara accepted Christ as her Savior but rededicated her life at Lem Turner Circle Church of Christ on June10, 2020, where she served as a faithful member until her health prohibited her from attending services.
She was proceeded in death by her loving parents Albert and Delores Jackson, her older siblings Lilian Jackson Rambert and Albert Jackson Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory a sister Betty Jackson Ray her nieces Charlotte Campbell, Barber Rambert, Samantha Webb, and Chanel Ray-Towson (Michael). Her nephews Jerome Rambert, Rickey Ray (Terri), Joseph Rambert, and Ricky Glover (Shanika). As well as a host of grand nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
