Beatrice "Penny" Thompson

Beatrice Yvonne Thompson, better known as “Penny,” was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 25, 1962, to Louise Thompson and the late Eugene Thompson; she was the fourth of their seven children. She attended local schools in Duval County, including Stanton Senior High School. Throughout her time in school, Penny discovered a love for sports including cheerleading and softball, a sport she enjoyed playing for many years. She was also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. Many people knew her for her love of crafting and decorating, and she found joy in using her creativity to make others smile. 

Penny was preceded in death by her father, Eugene; her daughter, Jirishua; and three of her siblings, Marcus, Anthony, and Kevin.

She is survived by her mother, Louise; her children, Joshua Sr. and KaRissi; her siblings, Cherolyn, Robert, and Ricky; four grandchildren: Joshua II, Nazaria, Yanijah, and Kendall; and a host of other loving family members and friends. 

Penny was 57 years old when she passed on August 29, 2020. She was loved immensely and will be missed.
