Betty Geen Dixon

Ms. Betty Geen Dixon was born in Wakulla County Florida to James Blossom Dixon, Sr. and Nancy Hickman Dixon. She attended and graduated from Valdosta City Schools.

She worked at Levi Strauss Company as well as The Lowndes County Service Center for a number of years before moving to Jacksonville, FL. In Jacksonville she worked at Pine Castle Inc. for a number of years before becoming a caretaker/sitter.

 She departed this life after a short illness and leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Cheryle Dixon of Jacksonville, FL. One sister preceded her in death, Julia Mae Dixon Berrian. One brother preceded her in death ,James Dixon, Jr.

Ms. Dixon leaves to mourn her siblings, Laura Dixon and William Dixon, Sr. both of Valdosta Ga.; one sister in New York, Shirley Dixon, one sister-in-law, Julia Mae Copeland Dixon of Valdosta Ga.; one devoted grandniece, Cameka Matchett Wright of Valdosta Ga. Ms. Dixon leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Newark, New Jersey, New York, Valdosta, Ga., Winter Haven, FL and Swansea, Illinois.
