Bishop Jones attended public school in Wayne County, GA then at the age of 18, on February 24, 1962, married his Beloved wife, Elder Sarah Isabella Jones; To this union 6 children were born. He was a loving and devoted, husband, father, and friend. He cared, loved, and protected his family and gave his heart to all his grandchildren, in which he loved taking them to church, playing jokes, and laughing, He made himself always available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. He was the best friend ever.

“Granddaddy was always so playful! He would take us on his bus and act like he was falling asleep and going off the road and we would scream, and he would just laugh. He would cook them good ole salmon croquettes and grits for us in the morning when we would stay in the summer, He would also take us fishing and crabbing; He was so sweet, and we knew that he loved us” “The wagon rides”

He Loved driving all throughout GA taking the students to school, sport events and other activities; He enjoyed talking with the children and encouraging them to greater success.

In 1991 he heard the voice of God’s call to ministry and at that time, he accepted the call, was baptized and served faithfully in ministry with his wife, teaching, preaching, and spreading the good news of Jesus, and encouraging others to trust and believe in God. My beloved husband, our Beloved father and Grandfather, you will always be remembered. The memories of living life with you will never be forgotten. While you’re gone, we have so much to talk and laugh about with each other. Thank you so much for allowing God to live in your heart; because of what you have instilled and imparted in us all, we can continue to thrive and carry on your legacy. “One of my many memories is me and my brothers playing football with dad in the front yard”
