Cleveland Dubose, Sr. Obituary

On January 20, 2024, Cleveland Leon Dubose, Sr. answered the Lord's call and peacefully transitioned to his new address. Born and raised, he was a proud graduate of Stanton High School, Class of 1981, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew and loved him.

Cleveland, affectionately known as "Quick Cleve," was dedicated supporter of Florida State Football, showcasing his unwavering dedication to his favorite team. His lively spirit brightened any gathering, as he was the life of the party, dancing and spreading joy to all around him. When it came to cards, Quick Cleve was known for his quick hands, often surprising opponents with an extra ace up his sleeve, a testament to his playful and "cheating" nature.

A man of wit and intelligence, Cleve would proudly declare himself the smartest kid that Ms. Marjorie had. His love for family was evident in his reminder to his siblings that "Mom is all we got." Cleve's sense of humor and infectious laughter will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing moments with him.

Cleve was preceded in death by his father, Willie Dubose Jr.; grandfather, Willie Dubose Sr.; grandmothers, Sweetie B. Leath and Mary Jane Dubose; sister, Alice Dubose; aunts, Carolyn Leath, Elizabeth Wilkerson, and Mary Major; nephew, Gregory Lynn Dubose Jr.; great nephews, Timothy Thomas and Marcus Tanner; and cousins, Cynitha Wilkerson and Johnny Wilkerson.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of those who survive him: his Mother, Ms. Marjorie Dubose; sons, Cleveland Dubose Jr. and Josh Bradley; grandchildren, Ciaro Dubose, Isaiah Plant, and Nadiya Bradley; great grandson, Jamijah Brenton; uncle, Samuel Leath; siblings, Gwendolyn, Angelia, Mary, Laura (Phillip), Renee, Lewis, Anthony, James, Robert, Gregory (Pam); high school sweetheart and mother of his children, Liz Bradley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cleve's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those who were touched by his warmth, laughter, and love. May he rest in eternal peace.
