Gary Ross Adams, Jr. was born on September 27,1975 to his parents Jeanette Odoms and Gary Adams, Sr. in Jacksonville, Florida.
Gary attended Andrew Jackson High School and Paxon High School where he was a member of both marching bands. He graduated from William M. Raines High School, receiving his diploma with the class of 1996. Gary continued his education at Florida Career College where he earned his Computer Technology Degree and Bachelor’s in Cyber Security.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Gary, Adams Sr. and his aunt, Chiquita Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted Mother and Father Jim and Jeanette Odoms; devoted girlfriend, Chelsea Bodie; children, Johnearia Riley, Ji’Mya Adams, Gabrielle Adams, Deshawn Adams, Jordan Frazier, Patrick Frazier, Asia Mercer, Niemiah Mercer and William Mercer; loving sister, Dynisha Kirkland (Tavares); brothers, James Moultrie, Ray Griffin and Shakar Holmes; grandparents, Doris King (Vondora) and Bernell Sumpter; nieces, Tameka Moultrie and Asia’nae Mathis; nephew, Ja’brae Kirkland; a host of nieces and nephews; best friends, Angel White, Chantina Black, Terrell Jackson, Derrick Fleming and Alexander Rutledge; a host of other close friends; devoted longtime friend and classmate, Reginald McKinney.
Gary was a devoted and loving father, brother, son, grandson and friend. He lived his life to the fullest, always happy and outgoing. He was truly the life of the party. Gary was a dedicated football coach where he impacted a lot of lives. He started coaching at Lavilla Saints and then on to Moncrief Broncos 12u until he departed this earth.
