Janice Delores Stewartson

Mrs. Janice Delores Stewartson was born February 19, 1961 to the late Ethel and Joshua Taylor. She found her one true love in Len Stewartson. The couple united in holy matrimony on November 4, 1989. The pair shared so many beautiful memories over the past 31 years.  Theirs was a marriage full of laughs, love, and support.

If you knew Janice, you know that the world has lost one of its greatest fashionistas. She was taught to sew by her mother as a child, and picked the craft back up after the birth of her daughter in 1992. Inspired by her two children, Janice created her bespoke fashion line, Joshmar. Janice loved to sew and make women feel beautiful with her creations. She would spend hours at her sewing machine designing garments for her customers. Sewing truly was her joy. Janice had a heart for people. Janice was a friend and mother figure to all she met. She would always tell her children, “You never know what someone is going through, the least you can do is give them a smile.” Janice gave way more than a smile to those she encountered. She gave her heart and her time freely to any and everyone that she felt needed it.

As the oldest of five siblings, Janice was the rock of her family. She was always the life of the party around her family, because they were the light of her life. Sadly, Janice leaves behind her devoted husband, Len Stewartson; two loving children; her daughter, Joshalen Stewartson, and son, Marcus Stewartson; a beautiful baby granddaughter, Zoe Stewartson; her sisters, Debbie Taylor and Nicole Russell (James); her brothers, Eddie Taylor (Katrina) and Vincent Taylor (Dina); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Our hearts ache at the passing of this beautiful woman, but we try to take comfort knowing she is reunited with her parents and paternal grandmother that she has missed dearly.

Janice, you were a soul more beautiful than most, the kind the world rarely sees. Job well done.
