Jason Maurice Hayes

Jason Maurice Hayes was born May 8, 1979, in Jacksonville, Florida.  He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, where he played football.  Jason was a phenomenal football player as he represented the Generals very well.  He received countless awards and a full scholarship with Auburn State. 

Although Jason passion was football, he enjoyed cooking, playing spades, video games and being around his family. He was described as a considerable and laid-back man.  Many were drawn by his charming smile.  His greatest joy of his life was his daughters, Ashanti, Asia and Makayla. 

Jason was preceded in death by his brother, James Hayes, III. 

Jason departed his life on April 14, 2025, and leaves to mourn his parents, Jacqueline Jackson and James Hayes, Jr.; brother, Isaiah Jackson (Lorraine); sister, Khadijah Hayes; granddaughter, Ava; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a devoted cousin, Linda Jackson; devoted friends, Shonda Davis and Jonathan Lane.
