John Edward Brown, Sr. was born on August 15, 1938 in Durant, Florida. He attended J.R. Lee Elementary/Junior High School and graduated from Union Academy High School in 1956. After graduating from High School, he moved to Miami, Florida. John was multi-talented and had various jobs. He worked at Rolling Hills Country Club where he later retired. John gave his life to the Lord at an early age and established a personal relationship with God. He was well known in the community of Liberty City and John never met a stranger. John loved people and people in return loved him. He was an avid checkers player and card player.
John was an amazing father who loved his children, grandchildren as well as his great-grands. He was proceeded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Brown; brother, Earl Brown; sisters, Beatrice Baker and Berthenia Roberts; two grand children, Reginald Taylor and Zarren Fulger.
He leaves to cherish his memories, Pearlie English; children, Cassandra Taylor, John (Cindy) Edward Jr., Latrena (Horace) Bell, Adrian Brown, Derrick, Darrell, Robbin and Gary; sisters, Merion, Bernice (Charles), Carolyn and MayLois; brothers, Tweetlan, Charles, Curt and Darryl Brown; grand children, Shavonne, Travis, Malcolm, Takeyla, John, III, Johniqua, Devonte, Marquise, Jeremiah, Shandonjanique, Baby Jon, Kentria, Mark, Tavarus, Maximina, Adriana and Nakayla; great-grand children, Trevisha, Ja’Kayla, Travis, Lavarian, Amih, Neveah, Amiya, Latrena, Garielle, Zaria, Layla, Josiah, Kymarii, and Amiyah; a host of relatives and friends.
