Nora Frances Green was born on November 23, 1925, to the late Church Harris and Annie Pearl Harris (Solomon) in Washington County Georgia. While living in Washington County, Nora attended the local public schools until she moved to Jacksonville, Florida. She resided in Jacksonville, Florida until her passing, June 25, 2026.
After arriving in Jacksonville, Nora became employed at the National Jacksonville Linen as a presser. She then met the lover of her life, Mr. Charlie Green, at which time they were united in holy matrimony. They stayed devoted to each other until her last days. Nora and Charlie did not bear any biological children together; however, their love for children was all the same. They went on to adopt and raise their daughter, Quendolyn Trotter. She loved her family dearly and would do anything for them, especially pray. Nora was a faithful and devoted member of West Friendship Baptist Church.
Nora Green was preceded in death by her parents, Church Harris and Annie Pearl Harris (Solomon); brother, William Harris; two sisters, Sylvia Smothers and Annie Durrand; great granddaughter, Christieanna Harley; loving husband, Charlie Green.
She is survived by her two daughters, Quendolyn Trotter of Jacksonville, FL and Carolyn Turner (Thomas) of Wadley, GA; Special son, Gregory Trotter of Jacksonville, FL; two Grandchildren, Christal and Christian Trotter of Jacksonville, FL; great granddaughter, Chasity Robinson of Jacksonville, FL; nephew, Samuel Smothers (Rhonda) of Orlando, FL; god daughter, Coretha Ganthling of Jacksonville, FL; god son, Cedric Wynch of Jacksonville, FL; great niece, Doris Adams of Jacksonville, FL; special grandchild, Stephanie Padmore(Greston) of Jacksonville, FL; honorary grandchild, Karena Johnson of Savannah, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and many sorrowing friends.
