Oran Tyrone Alexander

Oran T. Alexander was born April 17,1949 to Warren K. and Josephine Alexander. As the third and middle child born out of five, Oran attended Eugene J. Butler High School. He continued his higher education at Bethune-Cookman College (University) where he pledged and became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity 69’ Omicron (OE). Upon his graduation he attended the United States Naval Academy (USNA) and went on to become a Lieutenant Commander 04 in the United States Navy.

Oran departed this life on Thursday, August 21,2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren K. Alexander, his mother, Josephine Alexander and his oldest child/daughter, Tanya Hayes.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his children, Oran T. Alexander, Jr., Omelio Alexander, Adolph Alexander, Shawn Alexander (Chere’), Tita Alexander, Eric Longoria (Shenna), and Monica Longoria; his siblings, Venda R. Hodge, Warren K. Alexander (Asonia), Wayne Alexander, and Petrene Caldwell (Billy); his aunt, Alice Boatwright; his uncle, John Alexander (Yvonne); his grandchildren, great grand-child, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends Count and Woody.
