Priscilla Ann Bruce was born August 8, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida to Gloria Bruce Glover and Derry Mainor, Jr. Priscilla was affectionally known as Bunchie.
She received her education by attending the local schools of Duval County, Florida. Priscilla graduated from William Marion Raines High School, class of 1970.
She was united in holy matrimony with Mr. James Horace on October 31, 1970, and became Mrs. Priscilla Ann Horace.
Priscilla enjoyed working in the healthcare industry. Her compassion embodied every aspect of care she rendered to her patients and family members. She had a huge heart and a contagious smile.
Priscilla was a faithful member of Saint Stephen African Methodist Episcopal Church where she served with a willing heart. She served on the Missionary and Stewardess Ministries for many years.
She was a devoted prayer warrior and follower of Jesus Christ. Her foundation of faith was unshakeable. She found joy in PRAYER, strength in GOD’s WORD and peace in his PROMISES.
Priscilla is reunited in heaven with her parents, Derry Mainor, Jr. and Gloria Bruce Glover; grandparents, Oscar and Mrs. Essie Mae Bruce; siblings, Deborah Glover, Kenny Glover and Larry Bruce.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. James E. Horace; siblings, Ms. Christine Cummings, Ms. Sandra Glover, Pastor Harriet T. Brock, and Edward Perkins (Barbara); Sisters in Love, Synetta Drayton and Sabrina Drayton Lampkin; Brothers in Love, Roosevelt, Murvel and Sirdelrol Drayton; Brother-in-law, Nathaniel Horace; Sister-in-law; Essie Gordon; Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church members and friends.
