Robert Marion Mills Sr. was born in Daytona Beach Florida on September 7, 1935 to Robert Marion Mills, Carruth Hatchett and Robert Mills passed away December 31, 2018 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville Florida. He was 83 years old.
Robert went to Stanton High School and afterwards he joined the United States Army for 3 years and then afterwards he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves for 2 years and then he honorably retired from the Army National Guard after 20 years of Honorable and loyal faithful service to his country. Robert was employed by the City of Jacksonville as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Sewer and Water Department of Jacksonville where he retired after 33 years of dedication.
Robert attended college at the Florida Theological School and he obtained his B.S. in Theological studies, he was an active Ordained Deacon/Minister for Friendly Missionary Baptist Church, he faithfully served the Lord in all capacities. He was most of all a very dedicated family man and husband to his wife Annie L Mills of 57 years, he truly loved people, served, cared and touched so many lives, and he will be truly missed by all who loved him.
Robert Mills is survived by his loving family and his devoted friends. Surviving family members include his wife Annie Louise Mills, Robert Marion Mills Jr. Rosita Elaine Mills, Tony Alexander Mills, Ronnie Neville Billie Mills, Tracy Lee Mills, and Gary Lorenzo Mills, devoted friends, Brother Ozzie Hilliard and Sister Dorothy Hilliard.
