Rev. Samuel Eugene Gailyard

Rev. Samuel Eugene Gailyard was born on April 1, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida to Izebell and Stepney Gailyard. He graduated from William M. Raines High School in 1969. He resided for over 21 years in Orlando, Florida.  

He was an ordained minister and was known as an excellent bible scholar.  Rev. Gailyard (affectionately known as “Rev G”) obtained a Chaplain certification from University Hospital several years ago and spent over 50 years in the ministry.  He served as Senior Pastor at Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church for approximately 40 years. Reverand Gailyard went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 15, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Izebell and Stepney Gailyard; brothers, Emanuel Gailyard, Isaiah Gailyard and Spencer Gailyard; sister, Sylvia Harley; daughter, Ann Schafer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 21 years, Jacquelyn Gailyard; his children, Sean Gailyard (Anita), Kelvin Gailyard (Ashontwonique); brothers, Stanley Gailyard, Stacey Gailyard (Greshon), Sidney Gailyard, Soloman Gailyard (Linda) and Simon Gailyard; sisters, Esther Filmore (David), Sheila Bouler (Tony) and Sherald Gailyard; granddaughters, Sydni, Jahmiah, Alyssa, Norah and Elysia; grandsons, Sean Eric, Sheldon, Kelvin Michael Eugene, Savian, Sergio and Noah; greatgrandchildren, Amelia, McKenzie, Brylee, Chloe, Khalil and Harper; aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
