Ricardo Lamar Edmondson was born July 12, 1974, to the parents of Sammy Lee Crawford, Jr. and Annette R. Edmondson. He spent his formal years in Cleveland, Ohio and Jacksonville, Florida where he received his education in public schools. After graduating from Jean Ribault High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and served for 4 years. After leaving the Army he completed Barbering School, Heating and Refrigeration school as well as school for Security Services. He completed the majority of his work history working in his father’s business, Crawford and Son’s Lawn Service.
He was a member of St. Stephen AME Church.
Ricardo enjoyed listening to music, visiting friends and family, reading and grilling. He labelled himself “The Grill Master.” He enjoyed studying history and was a lifelong learner. He was a fanatic for the Cleveland Browns football team and the Boston Celtics basketball team. He leaves to mourn his memories his “one and only daughter” Asia Edmondson, of Dallas, Texas, affectionately called by her dad as, “ Ladybug,”; his parents, father, Sammy Crawford Jr. (Fran), Mother Annette R. Edmondson; grandmother, Laverne Maples; brothers: Timothy Jones(Fleeta), Adrian Bracy(Shakisha); Sammy Crawford, III (Chantey),Cantrell Edmonson(DeShawanda); sisters: Sameka Malone(Daryl), Houston, Texas, Makiesha Edmondson-Dozier(Adrian), a host of sorrowing aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A special friend of 10 years, Tosha Harrison.
