Mr. Robert Lee Beasley, Sr. was born October 17, 1952 to the late Herbert Beasley and Thelma Barney Beasley in Sylvester, GA. He grew up in Jacksonville, FL and fell in love with tennis at a young age. He graduated from New Stanton Senior High School, class of 1971. He went on to attend Florida Community College of Jacksonville as well as HBCU Morris Brown College in Atlanta Ga. There he pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He joined the Alta tennis league (Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association) and received numerous awards for his performance.
Robert worked as a dedicated Data Analysis for AT&T for 21 years and retired early.
Robert was married to the late Valencia Beasley on June 30, 1984 at Fellowship of Faith Church Intl and remained a member for 25 years. From this union, he had 5 children. Robert Jr.(Taymika), Victoria, John Paul, Victor(Tetrianna), and Christin Beasley. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren; Jacob, Jada, Jeremiah, Daniel and Isiah. Sisters, Juanita Brown (late Otis) & Yvonne Boston(Donald).
Robert was proceeded in death by siblings, Mack Hall Sr.(Sarah), Geneva Beasley Scott, and James Beasley.
Robert loved singing, playing tennis, telling corny dad jokes, spending time with his kids and looking at houses. Those left to cherish his memories are his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
