Robert Emmitt Perry aka Big Bobby was born the first child of John Henry Perry, Sr. and Betty Ann Perry on October 27, 1948.
He attended the local schools of Duval County, graduating from William M Raines High School, class of 1967.
Robert joined the U.S. Airforce in 1968 and served his country until 1971 where he received his honorable discharge. He was also employed by Civil Corps of Engineers in the Print Shop for many years until his retirement. In addition, he had a career in the insurance industry and was well known.
Robert was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Aloysious Denard.
Robert met the love of his life and married Earlene Kendrick in 1974. They were married for 45 years until she transitioned in 2020. God blessed them with one son, Johron Kendrick Perry.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sandra and Cynthia; brother, John Henry, Jr.
Robert took his flight to be with the Lord and joined his family on July 10, 2023. He leaves to mourn his passing, his son, Johron (Sherika); two grands, Taija and Johron, II and a bonus grandchild, Carlos Clark, II; Sisters, Ruth Delores Perry (Valdosta, GA), Valerie Wells, Netta Eloir, and Stephanie Perry; brother, Shelton (Kathy) Perry (Mobile, AL); Sister-in-Laws, Dorothy Kendrick and Mary Kendrick; honorary goddaughter, Erika Nisbett; Two devoted nephews, Dwayne Kendrick and Leroy Williams, Jr.; great aunt, Ella Mae Louden; a devoted cousin, Brenda Gibbs; Two devoted friends, Vincent Dickerson and Julius Perry; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
