Rogers Lee Clark, Sr. also known as "Grandaddy" was born February 16, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Willie R. Williams, Sr. (Florine) and Easter Stewart (Odom).
He joined the United States Navy at the age of 17, serving on the U.S. Saratoga at Mayport Naval Station. After receiving his honorable discharge, he obtained his Associates Degree from Florida Community of Jacksonville along with other certifications in AC/Repair, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanics and Culinary.
In his early adult years, he relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where he met and married his wife, Cynthia Anderson and to them God gave a blessing of children. Grandaddy loved his music, working on cars, cooking, spending time with his family and teaching his tricks of trade. Having traveled the world during his military tour, Grandaddy acquired a taste for cooking and spent many years cooking in fine restaurants and local events.
On Thursday, December 31, 2020, Rogers was called into eternity to be with loved ones who preceded him in death, including his mother, father, sisters, Nancy Long, Nadine McCants; brother, Willie R. Williams, Jr.; niece, Nancy.
He leaves to cherish his memories a very loving and dedicated family. Wife, Cynthia Clark; Children; Dwayne (Reagan), Marneshia Anderson (Desi), Tykeshia, Roger, Jr. and Kathryn Clark; Grandchildren, Kiara, Nick, Adam, Lauren (Kate), Shauntrelle, Synteria (Robert, deceased), Desirea, Deshea (Waleed), Michael, Maiki (Michael), Jonyia (Jonathan), Caleb, Taveon, Arianna and Lilyanna (Christan); Siblings, Betty, Thelma, Corine W. (Herbert), Anderson"Jean", Felix, Wayne W. (Eva), Evelyn; Special and devoted friends, Clarence, Ethel, Rufus, Elanor and Anthony; several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends.
