Thomas Edward Grant was born to Eugene and Lucinda Grant on June 27th, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida. He received his education in the local schools of Duval County and attended Jean Ribault Senior High School.
Thomas worked alongside his father, Eugene Grant in the construction industry for over 30 years. He was a part of the Local # 401 Cement Finisher’s Union and worked from 1977-2019.
Thomas loved the Lord with all his heart. He enjoyed reading the bible and praying. He always joined the family prayer line on Thursdays as well as the morning prayer line at 5 am. Thomas enjoyed watching westerns, his favorite shows included Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Virginia, just to name a few. He also enjoyed going to church and playing cards with friends.
Thomas was proceeded in death by both his loving parents, Eugene and Lucinda Grant; his brothers, Eugene Grant Jr. (Jr. Boy), and Hammie Grant.
Thomas passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Thomas Edward Grant Jr., his sisters, Betty, Erica, Jaqueline and Corine; his brother, Ricky; his uncle, Nathaniel (Verlene); his aunts, Odessa, Ida and Katherine; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
