Trestyn Pernell Stevens was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 13, 2004, to Roderica Bookman and the late Terrese Pernell Stevens. Trestyn passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Daisy and Willie Charleston; Grandfather, Willie Pernell Stevens.
Trestyn was educated in the public schools of Duval County, graduating from Edward White High School on May 25, 2022. He was Prom King and played on the Ed White Baseball Team. Trestyn was a member of the Senior Men, the BETA Club and Student Government. He was the life of the party and could light up any room. He was so well-mannered, fine young man. Trestyn loved his family, friends, and classmates. He was a confidant for many of his friends who looked to him for advice. They trusted his wisdom that was far above his years. He was dependable, a hard worker and had so much promise. “Gone too soon.”
Trestyn is survived by his parents, Cecil and Roderica Bookman; grandmother, Hattie R. Bowens; God Mother, Judy Allen; God Sister, Shakerah; siblings, Jordyn, Porsha, Sha’Nelle, Quarte, Jaylen, and Chelsie; a host of Grand Aunts, Grand Uncles, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; a Special devoted friend, Lauren Brooks.
