Reginald R. McKinney is the founder and Licensed Funeral Director in Charge of McKinney Family Funeral Home, Inc. His extensive experience in funeral service and providing care to families has established him among the most respected funeral directors in the local community.

Since the company’s inception in August 2009, Reginald’s leadership and direction have shaped its mission to reflect the highest standards in funeral care and ministry to families. As a result, the company has distinguished itself for quality, excellence and professionalism.

Reginald is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, Atlanta, Georgia (Class of 1998) and served as Secretary to the Board of Student Council. He then sat before the National Board Exam (NBE) administered by the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards, seeking licensure as funeral director and embalmer in the State of Florida.  After successfully passing the NBE, Reginald sat before the State of Florida Board of Examiners and successfully passed.  In April of 1998, Reginald became a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Florida.

Reginald began his work in funeral service with Davis Funeral Home, Inc. under the leadership of Mr. James N. Davis and Mrs. June Buggs-Davis. Throughout a career that has spanned more than 26 years, he’s remained deeply committed to educating and assisting the public with issues and topics in funeral care.

In February of 2016, Reginald completed all requirements for certification from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and earned the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP).

In August of 2017, Reginald became a member of Clay County Sheriff's Office where he is assigned to the patrol division.  He is also a member of the Honor Guard Team with the Clay County Sheriff's Office. 

In March of 2022, Reginald became a member of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office where he is assigned to the patrol division. 

In 2023, McKinney Family Funeral Home, Inc. was re-located to 1337 North Davis Street in Jacksonville, Florida. This location was previously Huff Funeral Home, which was established in the early 1900s by Mr. Andrew Huff, Licensed Funeral Director. 

Reginald currently holds professional membership with the Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity, Inc. (Alpha Gamma Chapter) where he served as Past Vice-President, Independent Funeral Directors of Florida and Florida First Coast Mortician's Association where he served as President and Vice-President.

Reginald is a faithful member of the Mount Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Robert E. Herring, Sr., Pastor. 

Reginald is the proud father of Reginald R. McKinney, II, Terry R. McKinney, Reginae R. McKinney and Raelyn R. McKinney.
